Concrete Driveway Construction Services in Toronto
We build driveways that last. At A&A Concrete, a division of A&A Masonry, we’ve been pouring and finishing concrete driveways in Toronto and the GTA since 2008. With over 800 reviews and 15 HomeStars awards, our team knows what it takes to deliver a clean, solid pour that holds up for decades.
We work with homeowners who want a driveway that looks sharp and performs year-round. Our crews handle everything from grading and forming to pouring and curing. We don’t skip steps. Every job starts with the right base, either gravel or screenings, compacted to support heavy loads and winter freeze-thaw cycles. We pour to the right depth, reinforce where needed, and finish for proper water runoff.
Driveways aren’t all the same. The way we prep, pour, and seal yours will match what your property needs. Whether you want a basic brushed concrete surface or a decorative finish, we’ve got the crew and tools to do it right.
What You Get With a Properly Installed Concrete Driveway
A well-built concrete driveway doesn’t just look clean. It lasts. We install poured concrete driveways that hold up for over 30 years with little to no maintenance. When done right, it won’t crack early or break apart from cold, salt, or weight.
We don’t cut corners. That means compacting the base, pouring at the right thickness, and letting it cure fully. We use rebar or wire mesh where needed and check the slope so water runs off. This keeps the surface solid and helps it last through Toronto’s weather.
Compared to asphalt, concrete may cost more upfront, but you save in the long run. No sealing every few years. No potholes to patch. No early tear-out. Just a driveway that works hard without falling apart.
Why Homeowners in Toronto Hire A&A Concrete for Their Concrete Driveways
We don’t subcontract. We don’t guess. We show up, get the work done, and stand behind it.
A&A Concrete, the concrete division of A&A Masonry, has served homeowners across Toronto and the GTA since 2008. We’ve won the HomeStars award 15 times, earned over 800 reviews, and have built driveways in every condition—from new homes to full replacements on older lots.
People call us because we explain every step, show up on time, and don’t leave behind a mess. We’re not the cheapest. We’re the crew you call when you want a driveway built once and built right.
Concrete or Asphalt? What Works Better for Toronto Driveways
You’ll hear asphalt is cheaper. That’s true at the start. But over time, it adds up. You’ll need to seal it often. Potholes form. It cracks fast in cold and heat. In a few years, you’re repairing or replacing it.
Concrete driveways last longer. A proper pour can go 30 years or more with almost no upkeep. You won’t need constant sealing. You won’t deal with soft spots or crumbling edges.
We’ve seen the difference across Toronto’s climate. With freezing winters, salt, and heavy use, concrete outlasts blacktop. If you want something solid that won’t fall apart in five years, concrete wins.
Concrete Driveway Finishes We Offer in Toronto
We build driveways that look as good as they last. If plain concrete isn’t what you’re after, we offer finish options that give your driveway more texture and visual edge.
- Stamped concrete gives the look of stone, slate, or brick without the cost.
- Textured and broom finishes add grip and a clean, simple surface.
- Pressed and embossed patterns work well for driveways that need extra detail.
- We also install interlocking concrete pavers for driveways if you want something modular and easy to repair later.
All finishes are installed with the same focus on durability, slope, and long-term wear. You pick the look. We handle the rest.
How We Build a Concrete Driveway That Lasts in Toronto
No shortcuts. No guesswork. We follow a step-by-step process that starts with proper prep and ends with a clean, sealed finish. Every stage is handled by our own crew—not subcontractors—using tools and techniques that fit Toronto’s climate and building code. Why Concrete Driveways Work Best for Toronto Homes
Concrete works well here for a reason. Toronto’s freeze-thaw cycles, heavy snow, and frequent salting break down softer surfaces fast. A properly poured and sealed concrete driveway resists cracking, keeps its slope, and doesn’t crumble under daily use.
You also don’t need to reseal it every year. Maintenance is low. Clean it. Clear the snow. That’s it. The cost may be higher at the start, but over 25–30 years, concrete holds up better and saves you money.
If you live in Toronto or the GTA, you may already know that local surfaces take a beating in winter. That’s why even the City of Toronto’s Infrastructure Guidelines focus heavily on proper concrete standards for curb and roadwork. The same principles apply to your driveway.
When you hire a contractor who builds to these standards, the result lasts longer, drains better, and won’t need repairs in a few seasons. It’s why A&A Concrete uses only materials and methods that meet or exceed these regional expectations.
What Our Clients Say About Their Driveways
We’ve installed driveways across Toronto, Etobicoke, North York, and the rest of the GTA. Most of our work comes from repeat clients and referrals. That says a lot.
People hire us because we show up when we say we will, do the job properly, and don’t leave problems behind. Here’s what some of our clients have shared after working with A&A Concrete:
Anthony Caledon, ON
Interlocking Stone Front Patio And Walkway
We are incredibly happy with the work that was done on our front walkway and patio. The original state of it was not great, as you can see by the pictures. The original flagstone was cracking and falling off, resulting in a fairly dangerous walkway.
We called A&A Masonry, and received a quick response. MaryAnna and Morgan were super helpful in arranging and facilitating the job. Bill and Thomas came and cleared out the old and did an amazing job installing the new. Not only did they install the interlocking stone but they were incredibly helpful in their suggestions and went above the call of duty to make sure that it looked great.
For example, if they followed the grade of the driveway, the patio would have too much of a slope, so they planned to flatten the patio out and have it raised above the level of the driveway. The problem was that the stone we had purchased for the border did not have an external face.
Bill and Thomas took back part of the stone and exchanged it at the vendor (Boulders) for border stones with an exterior face that would match the front stone step. Bill and Thomas worked quickly and finished the job in only a few days.
I am incredibly pleased with the experience we had, and unreservedly recommend A&A Masonry for whatever you might need. We will definitely be using them again. Huge thanks to the team at A&A!

Parging Repair And Reconstruction
We wanted to repair the crumbling parging at the side of our house and called A&A and a few other companies. A&A was the first to call back and Greg was on site the next day to provide a quote.
Based on what was discovered by the work crew, more work was needed, but Andy was able to adjust the quote and provide me with a lower price.
Dwight was on site for two days and he was excellent! He knocked off loose parging and attached wire mesh to ensure the new cement would stick. The final product is very smooth and I can appreciate the attention to detail around the windows.
Dwight cleaned up and left the driveway as it was before work started. Many thanks!

Parging, Brick Restoration And Tuck Pointing
Many thanks to the Ronaldo and his great crew! Team arrived promptly and attention to detail was provided to fix a brick pillar between the garage doors at the front of the house. In addition, repairs were done to a “step crack” in the front of the house, and an eroding brick window sill. Ronaldo rebuilt our brick lamp post and replaced the fixture.
The team thoroughly cleared the sides of the house and did smooth parging over eroding foundation walls. Very professional job!
The crew cleaned up thoroughly as part of wrap-up, even washing the driveway.
Definitely recommend A&A Masonry for your brick work.

FAQs
FAQs About Warehouse and Industrial Floors in Toronto
How much does a concrete driveway cost in Toronto?
The average cost to hire a concrete contractor in Toronto is $8,555, based on 4,070 verified homeowner reviews. For decorative concrete work like stamped or textured finishes, the average cost is $5,642, with total project ranges starting as low as $100 and going as high as $50,000 depending on the job. For a full breakdown by project type, you can view the Concrete Contractors Cost Guide on HomeStars.
How long does a concrete driveway last in Toronto?
If built with a proper base, reinforced, and cured correctly, your concrete driveway can last 25 to 30 years or longer, even through Toronto’s freeze-thaw cycles and road salt.
Can I repair cracks or should I replace the whole driveway?
That depends on the damage. If your driveway is structurally sound and the cracks are minor, we can resurface it or patch those areas. If the surface is sinking, flaking, or breaking apart, full replacement might be more cost-effective.
Do you offer driveway resurfacing in Toronto?
Yes. Resurfacing is a solid option if the concrete base is in good shape. It gives you a clean, sealed surface without the cost of a full tear-out.
Can I seal it myself after installation?
You can, but most clients prefer that we do it. We use commercial-grade sealers and apply them only after the curing stage is complete to ensure long-term durability.
